Introduction to Wikis
Why Use a Wiki?
Wikis are databases that visitors can edit and use to interact with others. Wikis are easy to create, use, and share information, ideas, creations.
Wikis can be edited in "real time". There are many features that can be placed on a Wiki such as calendar, videos, RSS feeds, and multimedia.
Who has Wikis?
Millions of wikis exist and while many are open to anyone, Wikis can be restricted to specific audiences. The Moderator (the Wiki crestor) can
determine access - open or restricted. Educators have been provided FREE Wikis and many are using it for their class/student syllabi, projects,
conversations, etc. https://tlcenter.wikispaces.com/ http://wsuedt763sp09.wikispaces.com/
